Your Life Interview is operated by Archieboy Holdings, LLC.

What we keep

If you record an interview, we keep your original microphone recording, shorter recordings of each answer, a transcript of what you and the interviewer said, any corrections you make, your consent record, and notes that let the interviewer continue where you left off. We also keep your account details: your name, email address, and sign-in information.

Who can see your interview

Your interview archive is private to you. We do not publish it, use it in marketing, or share it with other customers. Authorized Archieboy staff may access it only to keep the service running, to fix a problem you report, or where the law requires. A person who paid for your interview as a gift does not gain access to it.

Who processes your speech

To hold a live spoken conversation, your speech and the relevant saved context of your interview are sent to OpenAI’s live voice service for conversation and transcription. We turn off OpenAI’s session storage for these conversations. Your archive itself is stored on our own servers, hosted by Amazon Web Services in the United States. Email is delivered through Amazon Web Services.

Sharing your interview

Nothing from your archive goes to another product or service unless you approve that specific use, such as a printed book or a family-history file. Each use receives only the scope you approve. Once information has been sent to another service at your request, that service’s own terms also apply to it, and we will tell you so before you approve.

What we never do

We do not sell life stories or personal data. We do not use your interview to advertise to you or anyone else. We do not create a copy of your voice unless you separately ask for that.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect forms. We may measure visits to our public pages. Nothing from your interview is included in any analytics or advertising measurement.

Your controls

You can play back, correct, download, or delete any recording of your interview. You can withdraw your consent to further recording at any time. You can ask us to delete your account and everything in it by writing to us. Deleted material is removed from our live systems promptly and from backups as they expire.

Children

Your Life Interview is for adults recording their own life stories. It is not intended for anyone under 18.
